Ian is a professional with a broad range of interest and experience across multiple industries including arts & entertainment as well as engineering and automation. As a stagehand and rigger Ian worked with with production companies, theater troupes, and touring artists to bring live events to live audiences throughout greater NY metro area.

As an engineering consultant for the entertainment industry Ian provides design and and third party review services to the arts and entertainment industry through McLaren Engineering Group‘s, Entertainment Division. At McLaren he has developed strong command of machine design, power transmission, and mechanization working on the largest & most complex technical effects found in the live entertainment industry today. Examples include high precision multi-axis machines, 3-D performer flying systems, and stage lifts.

Outside of his professional life Ian most enjoys racing sailboats, (sailing resume here), skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, and the beach.
